Pond Art

I looked at the surface of the small pond a few days ago and

thought 'abstract art' and that may become a real possibility.

Snow here this morning, the beautiful kind, also gave me the

 shot for the header. The leaves of the bush made me think of

measuring spoons heaped with snow.

Silent Pond

It has been very cold here for several days. Temperatures in the

20's and a wind chill factor that has given a quick bite to those that

venture outdoors. The wind rustles the tree branches and the birds

make happy chatter around the bird feeders but all is quiet

 at the pond, it's surface frozen in motion.

January Fungi

Did I miss this beauty on our daily walks or did it just 'pop'

out of the tree the day before?  It did catch my eye as a white

flag would. The top left photo shows a satin-y soft fawn color. 

The underside is a real work of art.
