Call to Morning

I spent a good part of my growing up life on the farm and mornings were announced by the resident rooster(s).  This metal sculpted rooster is doing his part. He did not reside on my property though.

He was spending his days at this restored log home just down the road from where I live. For many years it operated as a bed and breakfast and was a wonderful place to visit.
Linking to Good Fences, go here and enjoy the fences, gates and scenery.

  12. Now that's my kind of a rooster. He looks great sitting up there on that fence post. That would have been a great place to stay at and enjoy the scenery.

  15. The ever crowing rooster, but he won't wake you up at the crack of dawn. Love the early morning light.

  16. Love your rooster. The artist certainly captured his personality "just-a-crowin'." This gates looks like our gate that leads from the backyard to the barnyard.

  17. that crowing rooster is ideal for any farm, :) i always loved hearing the roosters crow where i grew up. it was time to go outside and begin more exploring. that log house is beautiful. i hate it doesn't run as bed and breakfast now. will it serve as a home for someone now? hope all is well. have a great day~

  18. Very nice rooster sculpture - a lovely country scene. I had 3 pet bantam's when I was young. They would roost at night on the back of my pony. My bedroom window overlooked the corral and I would wake up to my little rooster every morning. xo Karen
