The Green Sea...

Watching the wind move across this field of wheat makes me think of the ocean. Those tree clumps are just islands in the distance. Rain (much) has put us in the middle of a sea of green. Those clouds above ...may hold more rain.

Linking to Skywatch Friday where you can see many beautiful skies and sites from around the world.

  2. I like! The green does looke like waves in the ocean. Re your comment on mine. Small towns are the best. Mine is so small it is called a Village. :)

  10. Not amber waves of grain yet - but verdant ones! I'll bet it can be mesmerizing to watch the merry little breezes tickle the wheat and make it dance and ripple - like watching the flames in a fireplace, or (less romantically) clothes tumbling in a dryer! Very Zen. :-)

  11. I have seen wheat fields ripple like that.Yesterday my Daughter called from work, 15 minutes away and said they were getting hail and an awful storm. I had seen very black clouds and heard the thunder, not a drop here????We have had tons of rain and the grass is growing like crazy.
I fertilized a month ago, it's green now. Be good and don't over work yourself. Yvonne
